In recent months, the Mantra #OCIW Strong has been heralded by the Desi Community as a call to action. Since charity begins at home and so does care, excellence and achievement, #OCIW Strong created a platform which laid special emphasis on presenting to the community a united front against the Covid 19 onslaught. Despite the novel challenges the world at large and the group incurred as a result of the pandemic, the members have continued to thrive together, holding daily livestreams on OC India Association Facebook page. The videos themselves are on a myriad of topics, including religious hymns, medical advice, cultural festivities, makeup and fashion advice, dance sessions, straight from kitchen recipe tutorials, kitchen table top presentations, gardening, career and entrepreneurial advice, Bollywood Jeopardy, 4th of July celebration, talent shows and virtual Zumba sessions.
